New MacBook Pro with Retina Display and USB 3.0?

The rumors appoint that Apple pretend to renew the MacBook Pro with a lot of new features like the exclusion of the optic drive to make them thinner.

The website 9to5 Mac quoted an anonymous source to sustain that the new MacBook Pro will have USB 3.0 connections, Retina Display screens (with higher resolution and better image quality as seen on the new iPad) and that they will lose the CD/DVD drive.

Apple should bet on a MacBook Pro with 15-inch without an optic drive to be thinner. However this model will still be bigger than the MackBook Air, for example. The screens should have a resolution of 2880×1800 pixels, being called Retina screens.

Some rumors appoint also to the inclusion of USB 3.0 connections to work alongside with the Thunderbolt connections. This is the most plausible part of the rumor, indeed, given the fact the new Ivy Bridge processors include, from scratch, support for the USB 3.0 tecnhology.

It is hoped that the new Mac will be introduced at WWDC 2012 from June 11 in San Francisco.
